  •                 “Stüa is a nomadic collective that brings people together to activate spaces through building modular, transportable structures, centered around a communal oven. Our work invites communities to join a hands-on, co-creative process, using diverse construction techniques to shape shared spaces.

We see the act of making bread—mixing water and flour into a living dough—as a metaphor for imagining and shaping our collective future. As we knead, we reflect on what we want our communities to be, and how we can break down rigid structures to create more inclusive, caring environments for everyone.

Our work builds a network of connection between individuals, communities, and nature—like a mycelial web of shared stories and desires. Together, we create an evolving map of possibilities for the future.

WORKSHOP
The prototype Oven-O1 Stüa will be build collectively during a workshop.

These workshops are designed to be immersive experiences, where participants can learn about sustainable construction techniques, connect with local artisans, and actively contribute to the creation of a functional and beautiful oven. By offering these workshops, Stüa aims to empower individuals with the skills to construct their own environmentally-friendly ovens while fostering a sense of community and shared knowledge.

We look forward to not only building ovens but also cultivating a network of like-minded individuals passionate about sustainable design and culinary craftsmanship. Join us in the journey to create, learn, and build together.

GATHERING
After the successful construction of the Stüa oven, we will introduce a four-month series of workshops and events at A place to B(z) .

This initiative aims to activate the space and connect diverse communities through activities like bread baking, ceramics, and culinary arts inspired by South Tyrol and multicultural cooking. The workshops will serve as a catalyst for social transformation, creating an inclusive environment where participants can engage in hands-on experiences and enjoy evenings filled with music around the fire, rituals, and cultural celebrations. The Stüa oven becomes a focal point for fostering connections, learning, and celebrating the richness of culture and creativity.

Join us in our dynamic endeavor as we transform A place to B(z) into a hub of shared experiences and community building.
